Thailand's Pajaree Anannarukarn beat American Emma Talley on the second hole of a play-off to win the LPGA World Invitational title on Sunday (Aug 1). The pair had begun the day tied for the lead with Jennifer Kupcho and the same trio reached the 18th tee locked together on 16 under par, only for Kupcho to make a costly bogey after pulling her approach into the water. Both players made par on the first extra hole and another on the second was enough for Pajaree to secure her first LPGA Tour title after Talley missed the green.

LONDON (REUTERS) – Pfizer and Moderna have raised the prices of their Covid-19 vaccines in their latest European Union supply contracts, the Financial Times reported on Sunday (Aug 1).

The new price for the Pfizer shot was 19.50 euros (S$31.34 )against 15.50 euros previously, the newspaper said, citing portions of the contracts seen.

The price of a Moderna vaccine was US$25.50 (S$34.53) a dose, the contracts show, up from about 19 euros in the first procurement deal but lower than the previously agreed US$28.50 because the order had grown, the report said, citing one official close to the matter.

Pfizer declined to comment on the contract with the European Commission (EC), citing confidentiality.

“Beyond the redacted contract(s) published by the EC, the content remains confidential and so we won’t be commenting,” the company said.

Moderna was not immediately available for comment to Reuters.
